Because of the current Covid-19 situation, the Shelter is looking very different this year!
Through the provision of Dartford Borough Council, the guests are being housed in one or more guesthouses in the East Dartford area. Our Project Worker will continue to work with the guests, in liaison with Dartford Borough Council and other agencies to help them on from homelessness.
We are uncertain at the moment how this will continue into the 2021/22 winter, so in you are interested or willing to volunteer please email us at Office.firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you as soon as we know what is happening.
If you need support, here are some sites you should look at:
- Dartford Foodbank
- Dartford Together– this is a new page set up by Dartford Borough Council to provide information and resources
- Our Dartford – this is a new local volunteer group, offering a range of support
- Mary’s Child – an established charity based in Greenhithe, and providing a food pantry and other support
- Kent Together – a new 24 hour helpline and online portal from KCC to provide help for the most vulnerable or 03000 419292
